Travel requirements

Passengers from the U.S. can enter Bulgaria, presenting either a valid certificate for vaccination or a certificate of recovery or a negative test result (PCR test conducted up to 72 hours before the arrival or an antigen test conducted up to 48 hours before the arrival).

Travelers up to 12 years old are exempt from these requirements.

NB! The US CDC vaccination cards are equal to the EU digital COVID certificate.

If they don’t present any of the documents, specified above, they shall be quarantined for 10 days at home or another place of accommodation. The quarantine could be terminated if the person presents a negative result from a PCR or antigen test, conducted no earlier than 72 hours of arrival in the country.

The travel requirements are subject to review every two weeks.
