Open House Day at the Ralph J. Bunche Library at the Department of State

On December 7th, 2018, a Holiday Open House Day was held at the Ralph J. Bunche Library at the Department of State, which is the oldest federal library in the United States. The cultural program of the event featured Bulgarian folk songs, performed by folk vocal group “Orfeia” with an artistic director Tatyana Serbinska. 

The members of the group, dressed  in traditional Bulgarian costumes, performed folk songs and told the audience about Bulgarian folk traditions.

Official guests of the event were Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev, Mr. John Sullivan, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Global Information Services, Ms. Julie Arrighetti, Chief Librarian, and Dr. Georgi Lazarov, a prominent member of the Bulgarian diaspora in the United States and a sponsor of ensemble “Orfeia”.
