Blaga’s lessons is part of the official selection for this year’s AFI European Union Film Showcase. Blaga’s Lessons is a drama film directed and produced by Stephan Komandarev. The plot revolves around Blaga, a retired teacher, who falls victim to a vicious phone scam and loses her life savings, turning her world completely upside-down. The film was selected as Bulgaria’s International Film submission for the 2024 Academy Awards.
Showtimes are Sunday, December 03, 2023, 08:15 PM and Monday, December 04, 2023, 07:10 PM at AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center. There is a One-Day Sale on November 17, from 10:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m., during which all individual film tickets (excluding our Opening Night screening) will be discounted.
