Ambassador Poptodorova laid a wreath at the Victims of Communism Memorial

The 8th annual memorial ceremony honoring the victims of communism around the world was held on June 12 at the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington DC. The Chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation Dr. Lee Edwards, the former Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, J?nos Martonyi, as well as the 2015 recipients of the Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom, Mr. Alexander Podrabinek (Russia) and Guillermo Fari?as (Cuba) made remarks. Ambassadors, dignitaries and representatives of ethnic and nongovernmental organizations remembered the legacy and victims of communism by laying wreaths and flowers at the foot of the Memorial.
