Ambassador Georgi Panayotov held a meeting with Senator Lindsey Graham (R.,S.C.).
They discussed the security and defence cooperation, energy security, the war in Ukraine and Russia’s hybrid actions against Bulgaria.
Senator Graham expressed his sincere gratitude for Bulgaria’s overall support for Ukraine. The United States will continue to provide additional military assistance, but the allies and partners must also play their active part.
Ambassador Panayotov emphasized that Bulgaria is committed to enhancing the strategic partnership with the U.S., including in the political sphere and for the modernization of the armed forces, energy security, high technology, trade and investment.
