For a consecutive year, Bulgaria was proudly represented at the European Kids Festival in the United States, which 18th edition took place on October 18, 2025, at the Spanish Cultural Center in Washington, D.C.
The kids from the Bulgarian Educational and Cultural Center “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Washington presented children’s songs and traditional folk dances from the Northern and Northwestern regions of Bulgaria, as well as a theatrical choreography inspired by an excerpt from the play “The Musical of Colors.”
The Bulgarian booth featured items representing our country – a map of Bulgaria made of moss and natural materials, miniature of a traditional costume, a martenitsa, and informational materials about tourist attractions in Bulgaria. Presentation highlighting unique facts about Bulgaria – including photos of the Thracian Gold Treasure was made. At the crafts table, children had the opportunity to draw and color traditional Bulgarian symbols.
