On January 10, 2018, Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev met with Congressman Steve Chabot (R-Ohio), Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business of the US Congress.
The possibilities for deepening the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the USA with a focus on the development of parliamentary cooperation were discussed during the meeting. The celebration of the 115th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the salvation of the Bulgarian Jews during WW II in the US Congress, as well as the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council were also among the main topics of discussion.
